Privacy
Foldkin makes no network connections. It has no analytics, no account, no ads and nothing to sign in to, and it sends nothing about you or your files anywhere.
What stays on your Mac
Foldkin keeps a few things in its own storage on your Mac, so that it works the same tomorrow: the folders you chose and the permission macOS gave it to write in them, your templates and their contents, the list of recently used templates if you turned it on, and a note about the last file it could not create, with a backup copy of the folders and the templates. None of it is sent anywhere.
Your files
Foldkin works only in the folders you choose. It creates a file when you pick New File, and it never overwrites one. It does not open or read the documents already in those folders. The one exception is a file you hand it yourself to make a template, by dragging it onto Foldkin's window or choosing it: Foldkin copies that file's contents into the template, on your Mac.
Crash reports
If you share crash data with app developers in your Mac's Analytics settings, Apple may pass us reports of Foldkin crashing. That is Apple's system, not Foldkin's: whether it happens is your choice in those settings, and Apple's privacy policy covers it.
This website
foldkin.app uses no cookies, no JavaScript and no analytics, and it loads nothing from other servers. It is served by Amazon CloudFront with access logging switched off.
